Hatyai, 2 Nov. 2010. Due to heavy overnight rainfall, Hatyai was founded flooded this morning. Many people rescued from downtown and many are still stock. Electric has cut and few transportation is allowed to move around. Together with 8 students, two staffs went for helping those who were in need. Next to Mahapanya vidayalai, we founded a tree which was uprooted by the heavy rainy storm, said Nayan, one of the students. We took 4 hours to clean the road. We would finish early but we had very few equipment, added his friend.

It was a first time in my life to see flood and it is really terrible said one Nepali monk. We cut trees, cook foods for people. Royal Thai Army came to received foods and distributed to people in flooded area. I wanted to go over there and help people but Thai society doesn’t expect monks in such manner but we can be invisible hands to help them indirectly. Only thing is our Motivation to help them. We get a lot from Thai society and if we can do very little for them we are happy, said Phra. Sonam.
