On Dec 18, 2011, MP.V organized a field trip to Wat Khoa Rup Chang, Padang Bezar, Sadao, Songkla. Along with 30 students’, lecturers, and staffs joined the trip.
Wat Khoa Rup Chang was built by a Singaporean monk who passed away few years ago. His great contribution to build this temple abbot, the monk made a vow 3 times at Bodh-Gaya in India by burning his three fingers to complete this temple. The temple is built similar to Bodh-Gaya’s main temple where the Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.
Today, Wat Khoa Rup Chang is home of 5 Permanent monks and hundreds of short term visited monks and lay people, It serves free Vegetarian foods for resident monks and as well as other practitioners. Visiting wat Khoa Rup Chang everyone has shared their feeling on the way back. It was peaceful and natural environment to practice meditation, everyone said.
